Galatasaray Withdraws from Bruno Fernandes Deal

Galatasaray Withdraws from Bruno Fernandes Deal

Tuesday 23-06-2026
Turkish reports revealed that Galatasaray has shown serious interest in signing the Portuguese star Bruno Fernandes during the summer transfer window, but negotiations hit a major financial obstacle that led the club's management to temporarily back away from the deal.

According to Sporx network, Manchester United requested around 50 million euros to part with their captain, while the player demanded an annual salary of 21 million euros, figures that the Turkish club considered excessively high at the moment.

Bruno's name was strongly mentioned as one of Galatasaray's targets to strengthen the playmaker position, and some sources even talked about initial contacts between the two parties in recent days.

According to the same reports, Galatasaray's management has not completely closed the door on the deal, but they are waiting for the possibility of reducing the financial demands either from Manchester United or from the player himself before considering returning to the negotiation table. Otherwise, they will turn to other less costly options.
