According to "Youm7" newspaper, Al Ahly's management is considering adding the player to the red team's ranks in anticipation of Mostafa Shobeir's departure from the team.

The newspaper clarified that Al Ahly has not made a final decision regarding signing Mohamed Alaa, as they are waiting for the final decision on Mostafa Shobeir's continuation with the team or pursuing a career abroad.

The Al Ahly management has decided to freeze discussions on any offers concerning goalkeeper Mostafa Shobeir at the moment, stipulating that official offers must be received from clubs interested in signing him, with the final decision postponed until after the World Cup competitions conclude.
