The "Al-Ahram" portal reported that several European clubs are monitoring Mostafa Shobeir, the goalkeeper for Al Ahly and the Egyptian national team, following his impressive performance with the Pharaohs in the 2026 World Cup.
The portal confirmed that more than one European club is interested in signing Mostafa Shobeir, such as the English club West Ham United, and the Spanish clubs Valencia and Girona.
It was clarified that goalkeeper Mostafa Shobeir's professional career after the end of the World Cup is almost certain, and this comes with the player's initial agreement to embark on this new professional experience.
For their part, the Al Ahly club management expressed great willingness for the young goalkeeper's departure during the summer transfer window.
The portal added that Al-Ahly is seeking to obtain a substantial financial compensation of no less than 5 million dollars to agree to the player's professional transfer.
