Ancelotti Prepares a New Role for Neymar in the Brazilian National Team

Brazilian press reports have revealed that Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti is planning to give Neymar a different role with the Brazilian national team in the upcoming period, following his return from injury and his nearing participation again with the "Seleção."

According to UOL Network, Ancelotti believes that Neymar can play as a false nine or even as the team's main attacking focal point, while being given the freedom to drop back into midfield to contribute to playmaking and control the tempo of attacks.

The tactical idea relies on utilizing Neymar's vision and passing ability to create spaces behind the defenses for the fast attackers, primarily Vinicius Junior, who can make deep runs and benefit from the movements of the national team captain.

This idea is not entirely new for Ancelotti, as he has previously mentioned in past statements that the false nine position might be suitable for Neymar, especially as he ages, because it offers a greater creative role and fewer physical demands compared to playing on the wings.
