Rangnick: Argentina Has No Weaknesses and They Have the Best in History
Ralf Rangnick, the coach of the Austrian national team, praised the strength of the Argentine national team ahead of their anticipated World Cup match, stating that his team found almost no clear weaknesses in the world champions. He described them as having "the best football player the world has ever known."
Rangnick said during the press conference: "Let's start with the weaknesses, as they are quicker to mention: we found very few, or perhaps nothing at all, in the Argentine team. As for the strengths, they of course have exceptional coverage on an individual level, and they have in their ranks the greatest football player in history."
The Austrian coach added: "It's a team that likes to possess the ball, but not as an end in itself or to keep it in their own half, rather to play quickly in a vertical manner, and also to deliver long passes from time to time. That's why we prepared our team."
Rangnick concluded his remarks by saying: "Tomorrow we have to prove that we are one of the best teams in this tournament. This means we must play at a very high tactical level, but we also need to be at our peak in terms of energy and courage. We might have to deliver our best performance since I took over coaching this team."
