Tottenham Opens Negotiations to Sign Cody Gakpo

The journalist "Nicolo Schira" revealed on his official account on the "X" platform that Tottenham Hotspur continues its efforts to sign the Dutch winger Cody Gakpo, a player from Liverpool, during the summer transfer window.

According to the same source, coach Roberto De Zerbi is interested in signing the 27-year-old player as part of his new artistic project, with official negotiations having been opened between the concerned parties.

The source clarified that Tottenham is preparing to make a significant offer to Liverpool to finalize the deal, amidst a strong desire to strengthen the team's attacking line for the upcoming season.

He also pointed out that the English club offered the Dutch player a long-term contract extending until 2031, in addition to giving him a key role in De Zerbi's artistic project, reflecting significant interest in signing him.

Gakpo is under contract with Liverpool until June 2030, which means any negotiations with Tottenham would require direct approval from the Reds' management before any official move.
