Morocco Maintains Its Global Position After Victory Over Scotland

The Moroccan national team continued to affirm its position among the top global teams, having maintained its ranking in the updated standings for the teams participating in the 2026 World Cup, which was released by the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) following the second round of group stage matches.

The ranking came directly after the victory achieved by the "Atlas Lions" over the Scotland team with a 1-0 score, with the goal scored by Ismail Saibari, enhancing the Moroccan team's chances of qualifying for the next round of the tournament.

According to the new ranking, the Moroccan national team retained the sixth position globally with 1769.98 points, continuing its presence among the elite international teams, while the Brazilian national team maintained the fifth position with 1772.01 points.

This slight difference between the two teams reflects the extent of development achieved by the Moroccan national team in recent years, especially after its positive results in major tournaments and its continued strong performances in the current World Cup finals.
