Ancelotti Sticks to His Plan and Delays Starting Endrick with Brazil

The coach of the Brazil national team, Carlo Ancelotti, confirmed that he does not intend to start the young forward Endrick in the match against Haiti scheduled for Saturday, as part of Group C in the 2026 World Cup. This is despite increasing public and media demands to give him more opportunities after the "Seleção" drew 1-1 with Morocco in the first round.

The opening match saw widespread criticism of Brazil's offensive performance, as Igor Thiago, Raphinha, Lucas Paquetá, and Matheus Cunha failed to deliver the expected level, while 19-year-old Endrick remained on the bench without participating.

Nevertheless, Ancelotti emphasized his great confidence in the Real Madrid striker, saying: "I will play Endrick at the right time, we need to wait a little. He will be an important player in this World Cup and in the next edition as well. For me, he is an exceptional talent."

The Italian coach showed great composure following the criticism he faced after the draw with Morocco, affirming that the team is handling the situation rationally. He added, "The result wasn't good, but we need constructive criticism. You can't win the World Cup from the first match, and we need to find solutions. The players' self-criticism was positive, and we have worked over the past few days to correct the mistakes."
