Sporting Lisbon Nears Sale of Trincão

Sporting Lisbon is preparing to sell its player Francisco Trincão during the summer transfer market, in a deal that could reach around 50 million euros, according to the newspaper 'A Bola'.

The source explained that the Portuguese club has already decided to market the player despite renewing his contract until 2030, giving him the green light to start negotiations with interested clubs, with expectations that his closest destination will be the English Premier League, with interest also from Saudi clubs.

The report indicated that Sporting Lisbon seeks to maximize financial benefit from the player, after paying Barcelona 18 million euros to acquire him between loan and purchase rights, with a previous buyout clause set at 60 million euros.

It also explained that Barcelona had sold 50% of the player's rights for 11 million euros and later waived the buyback option, depriving them of any future benefit, while Trincão prefers to experience a new challenge in the English league over the Saudi league.
