Danilo: We Lack Maturity Compared to France and Argentina

The Brazilian full-back Danilo made candid statements discussing the differences between his national team and some of the major powers in global football, affirming that Brazil still lacks the level of maturity possessed by teams like France and Argentina.

Danilo said: "We must be clear... we don't have the maturity of France or Argentina, we don't have that maturity as a team to say that we can't play well, prove ourselves, win, and go far."

He added: "Our tools in these matches must be diverse, and we need to play with different mechanisms and methods."

He continued: "Perhaps we need to fall back a little on defense, maybe we shouldn't push for high pressure, and maybe we should accept that the opponent will have possession of the ball and control the match. In my opinion, this is maturity."

He concluded by saying: "I have always said: If you want a fullback who constantly moves and participates deeply on the field, I am not suitable. But if you need a player who understands the flow of the game, reduces spaces, and balances play, then I am fully ready. Although we lack maturity, as I mentioned, this does not mean we cannot perform well and prove our ability to win and reach advanced stages."
