UEFA Imposes Financial Penalties on Roma

Thursday 18-06-2026
The Union of European Football Associations 'UEFA' announced the imposition of financial penalties on AS Roma for violating the financial fair play rules during the financial year ending in 2025, while confirming that both AC Milan and Inter Milan have adhered to the agreements signed with the union and have not been subjected to any penalties.

According to the UEFA statement, AS Roma slightly exceeded the set interim financial targets, which led to a financial fine of 2 million euros.

The union also explained that Roma violated the squad cost ratio set by UEFA during the same period, exceeding the allowed limit of 70%, resulting in an additional fine of 4 million euros.

On the other hand, media sources reported via 'Sky Sport Italia' that both AC Milan and Inter Milan, despite being subject to settlement agreements with UEFA, fully complied with all the financial conditions and standards imposed on them, and thus will not face any additional penalties.
