Praise from Former Al Ahly Star for National Team Trio
Ahmed El-Sayed, the former Al Ahly star, praised the Egyptian national team players after their draw against Belgium in the World Cup.
The match between Egypt and Belgium ended in a 1-1 draw, which took place last Monday evening in the first round of the group stage of the 2026 World Cup.
Ahmed Al-Sayed said in statements on the "Number One" program: "Mostafa Shobeir gave the Egyptian national team an advantage in the match against Belgium and contributed to the outcome of the game with his outstanding performance."
He added: "Mohamed Hany was one of the stars of the match and succeeded in significantly neutralizing the threat of Doku throughout the game."
He continued: "Hamdi Fathi has great experience and does not fear any opponent. He played a strong match and was one of the standout players for the national team against Belgium."
The Egyptian national team is preparing to play a match against New Zealand next Monday in the second round of the World Cup.
