Former Al Ahly Star Issues Warning to Egyptian National Team Regarding New Zealand
Hassan Mostafa, former Al Ahly and Egypt national team player, sent a warning message to the Pharaohs ahead of their match against New Zealand in the 2026 World Cup.
The Egyptian national team will face New Zealand next Monday in the second round of the group stage of the 2026 World Cup.
Hassan Mostafa, during his statements on the "Capital Stadium" program broadcast on ON E channel, said that New Zealand players are characterized by physical strength and great height, especially in the backline, which gives them a significant advantage in aerial balls.
He explained that quick passes and ground balls are the Pharaohs' weapon to make a difference, pointing out that the key to defeating New Zealand lies in continuous movement and optimal use of spaces.
Hassan Mostafa pointed out that the technical staff, led by Hossam Hassan, is required to devise a plan that relies on quick ball movement and avoiding aerial duels as much as possible, in order to achieve a positive result and successfully continue in the tournament.
