Amidst Al Hilal's Interest, Raphinha Postpones Deciding His Future Until After the World Cup

The Saudi club Al Hilal continues its efforts to sign Brazilian Raphinha, the winger of Barcelona, in one of the most prominent files presented during the current transfer market, while the player preferred to postpone discussing his future until after the end of the 2026 World Cup competitions.

The Spanish newspaper 'Mundo Deportivo' had pointed out a week ago to the renewed Saudi interest in signing Raphinha, explaining that Al Hilal and Al Nassr are ready to offer a huge financial deal that would quadruple the player's current salary. In the same context, the Brazilian newspaper 'Globo Esporte' confirmed that Al Hilal has placed the Barcelona star among its main priorities during the transfer window.

The Brazilian newspaper clarified that Al Hilal, led by coach Simone Inzaghi, seeks to reclaim the Saudi league title, placing Raphinha at the top of its priorities to strengthen the team's lineup and compete with Al Nassr, led by Cristiano Ronaldo. It also pointed out that the Saudi club had previously expressed interest in signing the player two seasons ago.

'Globo Esporte' added that Al Hilal's management is ready to present an offer valued at 170 million euros to convince the Brazilian winger to move to the Saudi league. They also plan to release Uruguayan striker Darwin Núñez in preparation for making Raphinha the main star in the team's sports project.

The newspaper mentioned that Raphinha was aware of the offer before the World Cup began, but he requested to postpone any talks regarding his future until the end of the tournament, preferring to focus entirely on his participation in the competitions held in the United States, Mexico, and Canada.

Despite the substantial financial temptations, the player's stance remains firm on continuing with Barcelona. Raphinha has expressed, both in his public statements and through those close to him, his desire to continue his journey with the Catalan club.

The Brazilian international is bound by a contract with Barcelona that extends until June 2028, after signing a contract extension with the club last summer, which gives the Catalan administration a strong position in dealing with any future offers concerning the player.
