Moroccan international Abdessamad Ezzalzouli ended his participation in the 2026 World Cup early, after leaving the national team's camp to begin an intensive treatment and rehabilitation program following an injury that prevented him from appearing in the global event.

The Real Betis winger left the "Atlas Lions" camp after attending the Morocco vs. Brazil match from the stands, which ended in a 1-1 draw. He was keen to support his teammates despite being confirmed absent for the rest of the team's journey in the tournament.

Spanish media reports stated that Abde Ezzalzouli initially went to the Spanish city of Elche to spend a short period with his family before moving to France, where he will undergo a specialized rehabilitation program at a medical center, in direct coordination with the medical staff of Real Betis Club.

The Moroccan player aims to take advantage of the latest treatment and rehabilitation methods to accelerate his recovery and regain his physical readiness as soon as possible, especially since his expected absence does not exceed one month.

Zalzouli aspires to return to the field with the start of the summer preparations for the new season, so he can be at the disposal of his Chilean coach Manuel Pellegrini and participate normally in Real Betis' preparation program for the upcoming competitions.
