England Team Suffers a Major Blow Before Croatia Clash

Tuesday 16-06-2026
The England team received a strong blow during their participation in the 2026 World Cup, after it was confirmed that right-back Tino Livramento would miss the rest of the tournament due to injury.

English journalist Matt Law confirmed that Livramento suffered a hamstring injury that will prevent him from continuing his journey in the World Cup.

The absence of the 23-year-old player is an early loss for German coach Thomas Tuchel, who aims to lead the Three Lions to strongly compete for the World Cup title.

Livramento had suffered physical problems in the final weeks of last season with Newcastle United, as he sustained a thigh injury that kept him off the field until the end of the season.

The English full-back also missed the friendly match against Costa Rica despite being on the bench, while he only participated for 45 minutes during the friendly against New Zealand as part of England's preparations for the 2026 World Cup.

The same source mentioned that Chalobah has been called up and will join the squad after the Croatia match.
