Belgium Coach: Ready for Egypt Match... Salah is a Wonderful and Distinguished Player

Rudi Garcia, the head coach of the Belgium national team, confirmed that his team is ready for the match against Egypt in the World Cup.

The Belgium national team will face the Egypt national team this evening, Monday, in the first round of the 2026 World Cup.

Rudi Garcia said during the pre-match press conference: "This is not the first time I hear the Belgian national anthem. There will certainly be emotions, but it will be a strong motivation."

He continued: "We are ready for tomorrow's match against Egypt, well-prepared, and we want to start the game strongly."

He added: "The Egyptian national team performed well in the Africa Cup of Nations, and their friendly matches against Brazil and Spain were also remarkable. It is one of the best African teams, and Salah and Marmoush are outstanding players, but we are focusing on our own performance."

He affirmed: "It will be wonderful to see Mohamed Salah again. I worked with him in Rome, and he is an amazing player who has proven that over the years. He is also a special person. I will hug him, but during the match, we will be opponents."

He also said, "Trezeguet is a great player, and Hossam Hassan is a coach with extensive experience, as we saw in the Africa Cup of Nations, and we have to give 100% of our performance."

He concluded: "I have said it before and I will say it again, our primary goal is to qualify from the group stage, and it is preferable to lead the group. Winning against Egypt will help us a lot, and it is important that we play in our usual style, as we have been preparing for this moment for months."
