Bayern Munich Plans to Extend Michael Olise's Contract
Bayern Munich, the German league champion, is preparing to reward its French star Michael Olise for the outstanding performances he delivered last season by offering him a new long-term contract with a substantial salary.
The German newspaper 'Bild' reported that Bayern Munich's management plans to extend Olise's contract until the summer of 2031, with an annual salary reaching 25 million euros, making him the highest-paid at the Bavarian club.
This move comes as the club is keen to retain the services of the 24-year-old French player, despite reports linking him with a move to Real Madrid during the summer transfer window, according to previous European press reports.
Olise has a contract with Bayern Munich that extends until the summer of 2029, after moving to the team in the summer of 2024 from Crystal Palace, which makes the club unwilling to part with his services at this stage.
The French winger participated in 52 matches last season across various local and European competitions, achieving impressive numbers by contributing to 53 goals, scoring 22 goals, and providing 31 assists.
Olise is currently continuing his participation with the French national team in the 2026 World Cup held in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
