Doumbia Begins Final Rehabilitation Phase for Return to Al-Ittihad

The Malian player, Mohamado Doumbia, a midfielder for Al-Ittihad, has begun the final steps of his rehabilitation program, having moved to the stage of physical training with the ball in preparation for his return to the field.

The player continues to work hard to regain his fitness before the start of the new season, after a long absence due to an injury he sustained.

In April, Al-Ittihad Club announced that Doumbia had successfully undergone surgery to repair a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee.

The surgery was performed in the city of Lyon, France, under the supervision of Dr. Bertrand Sonnery-Cottet, one of the well-known names in this field.

The Malian midfielder recently underwent an initial rehabilitation program in France before moving on to advanced stages of physical preparation.

Doumbia was injured during the match between Al-Ittihad and Al-Kholood in the semi-finals of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Cup, after leaving the game due to severe pain.

Later examinations revealed a tear in the cruciate ligament, causing the player to miss the crucial stage of last season.
