Rome Races Against Time to Finalize Greenwood Deal

AS Roma is racing against time to reach an agreement to sign English winger Mason Greenwood from Olympique Marseille during the summer transfer window, as part of their plan to strengthen the attacking line in preparation for the 2026/2027 season.

The newspaper "Corriere dello Sport" reported that the management of AS Roma intends to make an official offer to Marseille next week, hoping to finalize the deal before the end of June. This move comes at a time when the French club needs to complete a major sale to comply with financial fair play regulations.

The report indicated that Marseille values Greenwood at approximately 55 million euros, while Roma is preparing an offer with a total value of 40 million euros, which includes bonuses and financial incentives, as well as a percentage of any future transfer of the player.

The newspaper explained that the proposal includes an initial payment of 5 million euros, with a mandatory purchase for 25 million euros, along with an additional 10 million euros as guaranteed bonuses.

The same source confirmed that Roma has indeed made contact with Greenwood's father and his agent, while the former Manchester United player has expressed his readiness to move to the Stadio Olimpico.

At the same time, Roma is exploring other attacking options, with the report indicating that Christian Pulisic, the AC Milan star, has been offered to the club as one of the available names to support the team for the upcoming season.
