Atletico Madrid Decides on Signing Casado

Atletico Madrid has currently rejected the idea of signing Barcelona midfielder Marc Casado, despite his name being brought up in negotiations. Meanwhile, Barcelona continues to work on marketing the player during the current transfer window.

According to the Spanish newspaper "Sport," Barcelona is aiming to complete the sale of Casado before June 30 to support financial balance, alongside Ansu Fati. However, the player is not rushing to decide his future and prefers to calmly consider his options.

The same source explained that the player's agent, Jorge Mendes, contacted Atletico Madrid's sporting director, Mateo Alemany, to discuss the possibility of signing Casado. However, the Madrid club's management did not express approval at the moment due to other priorities in the transfer market and the lack of complete technical conviction regarding the deal.

The report indicated that Atlético Madrid has a large number of midfielders, such as Koke and Pablo Barrios, making the signing of Casado currently off the table. It also mentioned that the club had previously shown interest in Marc Bernal, but Barcelona is firmly against his departure.

On the other hand, Jorge Mendes continues to look for other offers within Europe, alongside interest from the Saudi club Al Hilal, which is a financially strong offer. However, it does not have the full acceptance of the player, who prefers a sports project that guarantees him a key role and technical trust.

Real Betis has also shown interest in signing the player, but their financial capacity is limited, while Barcelona is asking for at least 20 million euros to let him go. This leaves Casado's future open to several possibilities in the coming period.
