Ahmed Shobeir Announces Exciting News About Al-Ahly
The renowned media personality Ahmed Shobeir confirmed that Al Ahly will not participate in the African Champions League next season.
Shobeir said on his Facebook page: "There was consideration within the African Confederation to increase the number of teams from some countries in the Champions League, but it seems that the idea has been postponed, and Al Ahly will participate in the Confederation Cup next season."
Al Ahly finished the last season of the Egyptian Premier League in third place with 53 points.
Al-Ahly recently dismissed the Danish coach Jes Thorup, and several reports have confirmed that the club is close to announcing a new head coach.
