Bruno Guimarães, the Brazilian national team's midfield star, praised the capabilities of the Moroccan team ahead of the anticipated match between the two sides in the first round of Group C in the 2026 World Cup finals held in the United States, Mexico, and Canada.

The Newcastle United player said during the press conference held at the "Seleção" residence in New Jersey that facing the Moroccan national team next Sunday will be against a very strong opponent, emphasizing the need to approach the match with the utmost respect and focus.

Guimarães added that the Brazilian national team enters the tournament with great ambitions to achieve its sixth title in history, emphasizing that respecting opponents remains a fundamental element in the race for the world title.

The Brazilian midfielder explained that the current lineup of his national team includes a group of prominent names active in major European clubs, such as Vinicius Junior and Raphinha, despite this group being different from some previous generations that included exceptional stars.

Guimarães also expressed his satisfaction with the readiness of the Brazilian national team before the start of the competitions, following the positive results the team achieved in recent friendly matches against Panama and Egypt. He emphasized that the technical condition of the group gives them great optimism for a strong start in the World Cup.

He pointed out that the opening matches are usually decisive in the qualification path, especially since Brazil's group also includes Haiti and Scotland, making every point highly significant in the race to advance to the knockout stages.
