Juventus Sets Price for Selling Jonathan David

Monday 08-06-2026
The Italian club Juventus has set the asking price for releasing their Canadian forward Jonathan David, according to the Italian newspaper "Tuttosport," amid interest from several European clubs in signing him after his first season with the team.

Jonathan David joined Juventus in the summer of 2025, coming from French club Lille on a free transfer. Despite his fluctuating performance during his first season with the Bianconeri, he managed to catch attention.

The report stated that Juventus management informed the player's agents that he could seek a new destination during the transfer window. However, at the same time, they will not agree to sell him for less than 35 million euros, with the club insisting on not offering any discount on his market value.

The same source indicated that Juventus does not mind the player's departure, but they set this financial compensation as a fundamental condition for completing any potential deal.

From a technical standpoint, coach Luciano Spalletti prefers a forward with different characteristics, possessing greater physical strength and a higher ability to impact inside the penalty area, prompting the club to reassess its attacking options.

This season, Jonathan David participated in 46 matches with Juventus across various competitions, during which he scored 8 goals and provided 5 assists.
