Ramon Menezes, the former coach of the Brazil national team, praised Omar Marmoush, the star of the Egyptian national team, after the friendly match between the Pharaohs and Brazil.

The Brazilian national team defeated Egypt 2-1 in a friendly match on Sunday morning as part of both teams' preparations for the 2026 World Cup.

Menzies said during statements on the "Here is the World Cup" program broadcast on the "Al-Nahar" channel: "The Egyptian national team played a good match against Brazil and is entering the World Cup strongly."

He added, "Omar Marmoush delivered an outstanding performance; he is an extremely fast player and made a difference from the start of the match. Egypt could surprise in the World Cup because they have a great and wonderful team."

"Brazil also has great players, and I am confident they will deliver an outstanding World Cup."

He added: "Mohamed Salah is a legendary player with all the capabilities. He is fast and physically strong, and he can make a difference at any moment. He is a significant player within the Egyptian national team, in addition to his experiences both individually and collectively. Even though he participated in the second half, you can see that he created a kind of balance and shifted the team from defense to attack."

The Egyptian national team will begin its World Cup journey by facing Belgium on June 15, before meeting New Zealand on June 22, and will conclude the group stage with a match against Iran on June 27.
