Hossam Hassan, the head coach of the Egyptian national team, confirmed that the selection of players participating in the World Cup was done with great precision, noting that Egypt's group in the tournament is not easy.
The Brazilian national team defeated Egypt 2-1 in a friendly match on Sunday morning as part of both teams' preparations for the 2026 World Cup.
Hossam Hassan said at the press conference following the match: "Based on my coaching experience, which began about 20 years ago, I choose with my technical staff the right player for the right position."
Hossam Hassan expressed his happiness with the performance of Mostafa Ziko, who scored Egypt's goal in the friendly match against Brazil.
Regarding the goalkeeper Mostafa Shobeir, he indicated that he is convinced he is the future of Egyptian football, noting that he seeks to integrate young players with experienced ones within the national team.
