The journalist Ahmed Hassan revealed the truth about Al Ahly's negotiations with the Portuguese coach Pedro, the former coach of Angola.
Hassan said on his Facebook account: "A source in Al Ahly: We have indeed contacted the former Angolan coach, Pedro, but he is not at the top of the candidate list."
Al Ahly announced last Thursday the departure of Danish coach Jess Thorup from his position as head coach of the first team.
Al Ahly finished the last Egyptian Premier League season in third place with 53 points.
