Juventus Reaches Agreement with Sørloth
The transfer market is witnessing varied reports within Italy regarding the future of Atletico Madrid's Norwegian striker Alexander Sørloth, amid strong interest from Juventus in signing him in the upcoming period to strengthen the center-forward position.
The Italian newspaper "Corriere dello Sport" reported that Juventus has reached a preliminary agreement with the player's representatives regarding personal terms, on a four-year contract with an annual salary of 4 million euros, which represents an increase from his current salary with Atletico Madrid, which is 3 million euros annually.
On the other hand, other reports within Italy have clarified that completing the deal with Atlético Madrid remains complicated, as the Spanish club has yet to decide on selling the player, with more than one party interested in his services.
As reported by "La Gazzetta dello Sport," Juventus is not the only club monitoring Sørloth's situation, as several Premier League clubs are following developments regarding his future, while Atlético Madrid is considering taking its time before making a final decision.
The newspaper added that Atletico Madrid's management tends to postpone the decision until after the World Cup in order to monitor the player's performance, hoping that his brilliance will contribute to increasing his market value, especially given the possibility of more than one club entering the competition to sign him.
In a related context, reports indicated that Juventus has set a financial cap not exceeding 30 million euros to complete the deal, while Atletico Madrid prefers to open the door to an auction that could raise the final transfer value.
The same sources also indicated that Juventus and Atletico Madrid are discussing the case of Argentine Nico Gonzalez, who played the 2025/2026 season on loan at Atletico Madrid. However, the player will not be part of any potential exchange deal involving Sorloth, as the two matters are being handled separately.
