Mamdouh Abbas Reveals the Truth About His Financial Support for Zamalek Club

The Egyptian Zamalek Club is experiencing increasing financial and administrative pressures due to the lawsuits filed against it with the International Federation of Football, which threaten the stability of the first team and its potential participation in continental tournaments in the upcoming period.

The Zamalek Board of Directors is currently working on settling overdue payments and resolving the registration suspension crisis in order to strengthen the team with new signings during the summer transfer window, in an attempt to avoid any additional penalties from the relevant authorities.

In this context, media personality Khaled Al-Ghandour revealed on his program 'Stadium Al-Mahwar,' citing a source within Zamalek Club, that Mamdouh Abbas, the former club president, pledged to provide financial support amounting to 2.5 million dollars to help the club resolve part of its financial crisis, as part of the administration's efforts to provide urgent cash flow.

However, a controversy arose regarding this news after Mamdouh Abbas denied, through statements on his official account on Platform X, the rumors about providing any financial support at this time, asserting that those sources are incorrect and demanding that his name not be involved in the club's crises.

Abbas clarified that if he decides to provide any financial contribution to Zamalek Club, he will announce it officially and clearly to the fans, without relying on any inaccurate sources.
