Casado Decides to Leave Barcelona

An article in the Spanish press reported that young Barcelona midfielder Marc Casado has decided to leave the team after a period of reflection and reviewing his position within the first team during the past season.

According to "Sport" newspaper, Casado received his technical evaluation directly from the German coach Hans Flick, who was clear with the player from the start about the difficulty of guaranteeing significant playing time last season, which led him to reconsider his future.

Despite his previous insistence on staying and his attempt to fight for his place in the lineup, the technical reality during the season and the decline in his chances of participating made him decide to leave this summer in search of a bigger role in another team.

The sources clarified that Barcelona's management did not oppose the player's decision, but at the same time, they left the door open for all possibilities, while emphasizing respect for Casado's wishes, who grew up within the club and progressed through its youth ranks.

The player is expected to decide his destination during the summer transfer window, amid interest from several European clubs, most notably AS Monaco and clubs from the Saudi league. His primary condition remains securing regular playing time and a key role in the new team's project.
