Victor Osimhen Offered to Barcelona

The name of Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen has entered the spotlight at Barcelona in recent hours, after being offered to the Catalan club's management through intermediaries and third parties, as part of new moves in the summer transfer market, according to the Spanish newspaper "Sport."

The newspaper explained that the offer of Osimhen to Barcelona came at a time when the club is finalizing its offensive plan for the next season. The player was presented as an available option to strengthen the attack line, benefiting from his significant status in the player market and his high scoring ability.

Despite Osimhen's name being brought up to the management, Barcelona has not shown any change in their technical plan so far, as the Nigerian striker is not among the current priorities to strengthen the attack line. The Spanish newspaper confirmed that the club values his technical abilities and considers him one of the most prominent available strikers, but this does not alter the direction of the sports management.

This offer comes as part of the usual activities of player agents and intermediaries during transfer periods, where multiple names are presented to major clubs to gauge their interest and the possibility of opening negotiations, without this necessarily indicating formal negotiations or an actual offer in the deal.

Victor Osimhen is 27 years old and had a strong season with the Turkish club Galatasaray, playing in 33 official matches during which he scored 22 goals, along with 7 assists across various competitions, affirming his value as one of the top strikers in the Turkish league.

The information indicates that the market value of the Nigerian striker is approaching 75 million euros, which is the same value for which he transferred to Galatasaray from Napoli during the last summer transfer window, with a contract extending until 2029.

Despite this offer, Julián Álvarez remains Barcelona's primary target for the forward position at present, as the club adheres to the plan set by the sports management led by Deco months ago.

Barcelona's management views the Osimhen file as merely an option on the table without any real developments, unless there is a radical change in the primary target. This makes the chances of moving towards him very limited at the moment.
