Van Bommel is the Closest to Coaching Al-Ahly as a Successor to Torup
The media personality Ahmed Shobeir stated that coach Van Bommel is the most likely candidate to take over as the head coach of Al Ahly, succeeding Jes Torup.
In a radio statement, Shobeir said: "Van Bommel is the closest coach to taking on the task of coaching Al Ahly so far, but there may be new developments in the file of the new head coach."
He explained: "Adel Mostafa left Al Ahly yesterday and collected his belongings. There might be an announcement today about the details of the new restructuring within Al Ahly club."
He continued: "Wael Gomaa as the football director, Anis Boujelban as the scouting director, and Essam Siraj for contracts. There is still a lot of secrecy surrounding the technical aspect."
