Al-Ahly Closes the Chapter on Torup After Settling All Matters

Al Ahly club has definitively closed the file on coach Jes Thorup, after both parties reached a full agreement on terminating the contract in a session that extended into the early hours of the morning, thus concluding all legal and financial procedures related to the departure.

The media personality Ahmed Shobeir revealed the details of the final negotiations that preceded the closing of the file, explaining that the final agreement was signed after a lengthy session that ended at 2 a.m., following a series of intensive discussions between Al Ahly officials and the coach's representatives.

During his talk on the "With Shobeir" program on "On Sport FM" radio, Shobeir mentioned that the negotiations were attended by several club leaders, including Yassin Mansour, Vice Chairman of the Board, Sayed Abdelhafiz, a board member, as well as Osama Hilal, the former contracts manager, and Gamal Gaber, the media center director, who contributed to bridging viewpoints and reaching the final agreement.

He explained that the communications and negotiations began at 8 PM, eventually concluding with a settlement satisfactory to all parties. The coach received dues equivalent to three months, along with the full salary for June and an additional month, as well as 10% of the value of the four months allocated to the agents as part of the settlement terms.

Shobeir pointed out that the negotiations hit a single obstacle, which was the desire of Al Ahly officials to include a clause preventing the coach from appearing on Egyptian media for a year after leaving the club. However, Torop categorically refused this condition, insisting on his right to media appearances in Egypt without any restrictions.

According to Shobier, the negotiations successfully overcame this point of contention after Al Ahly finally agreed to exclude this condition, leading to the signing of all documents related to the contract termination and officially closing the file.

The Egyptian media confirmed that all legal and financial matters between the two parties have been completely resolved, thus closing the chapter of Torop with Al-Ahly definitively after reaching a comprehensive agreement that settled all outstanding issues.
