Manchester United Secures Ederson Deal

Wednesday 03-06-2026
Manchester United has successfully reached a final agreement with Italian club Atalanta to sign Brazilian midfielder Ederson, in a deal considered one of the most significant moves by the English club during the current summer transfer window.

According to the reliable journalist David Ornstein, a full agreement has been reached between all parties, with the player set to sign a four-year contract until the summer of 2030, with an option to extend for an additional season.

The total value of the deal will amount to 45 million euros, which includes 40.5 million euros as a fixed amount, in addition to 4.5 million euros as incentives and bonuses tied to the player's performance and the team's results in the coming years.

Ederson is preparing to undergo medical examinations in the coming days before the official announcement of the deal, after being given the green light to complete his move to Old Trafford.

The signing of the Brazilian international comes after his impressive performances with Atalanta in the Italian league over the past two seasons, where he emerged as one of the best midfielders in Serie A due to his ability to intercept the ball, apply high pressure, and contribute to building play between defense and attack.

Manchester United's management views Ederson as the perfect addition to strengthen the midfield, as part of the team's rebuilding plan before the start of the new season. This is especially important after the strong competition the club faced from several European clubs that have been monitoring the player in recent months.

The official announcement of the deal is expected to be made once the medical procedures are completed and the contracts are signed, making Ederson one of Manchester United's key reinforcements in preparation for the 2026-2027 season.
