Marmoush: We Dream of Reaching the Farthest Point Possible in the World Cup

Omar Marmoush, the star of the Egyptian national team, expressed his admiration for the achievement of the Moroccan national team in the last World Cup in Qatar.

The Moroccan national team succeeded in reaching the semi-finals of the 2022 edition, before finishing the tournament in fourth place.

In an interview with "GQ" magazine, Marmoush said: "I believe the World Cup represents a football moment during which you can dream of reaching the furthest possible point. We recently saw how Morocco reached the semi-finals of the 2022 edition, proving that anything is possible."

He continued: "After the group stage, which includes Belgium, New Zealand, and Iran, we must approach the tournament match by match."

Marmoush added: "We have to be realistic, of course, as we will be facing the best national teams in the world, and this is not an easy task. But we always dream big."

He explained, "It's great to have this number of Middle Eastern and North African teams in the tournament this year, but it's not just about the numbers. We want to go there and deliver a strong performance. We are now on the biggest stage in the world of football, and it's time to show everyone what we have."
