Details of the Local License Crisis for Zamalek Club
The journalist Ahmed Shobeir revealed details about the local license issue of Zamalek Club and its impact on participation in continental tournaments in the new season.
In a radio statement, Shobeir said: "The frequent registration ban on Zamalek is not related to the local license, but Zamalek owes 30 million Egyptian pounds that must be paid to the Football Association to obtain the local license."
He added: "CAF does not issue a continental license to any club that is banned from registration except in certain exceptions. Therefore, this is the major crisis for the Whites, and a complete file is being prepared to be sent to CAF after obtaining the local license."
He continued: "There is no definitive opinion on Zamalek's participation in continental tournaments next season due to the issues and debts they face, and experts are divided on the White Knights' position."
He concluded: "CAF monitors the licensing of continental clubs and then issues the final decision regarding the participation status of the White team."
