Official: Bologna Announces Appointment of Domenico Tedesco as Team Manager

Bologna Club announced the appointment of Domenico Tedesco as the new manager of the first team, with a contract extending until June 30, 2028, with an option to extend for an additional season.

The club stated in its official statement that Tedesco has a coaching career that included working in the youth sectors of Stuttgart and Hoffenheim, before taking on the management of Schalke, Spartak Moscow, and Leipzig, in addition to leading the Belgian national team and Fenerbahçe.

During his coaching career, Tedesco achieved advanced positions in the German league, finishing second and fourth, as well as being a runner-up in the Russian Premier League, and reaching the round of 16 in the European Championship.

The statement added that the coach won two notable titles, the German Cup with Leipzig in the 2021/2022 season, and the Turkish Super Cup with Fenerbahçe in 2025. He also had experiences in the Champions League and the Europa League, reaching the semi-finals of the Europa League in the 2021/2022 season.
