Beşiktaş Opens Negotiations with Italiano After His Departure from Bologna
Italian press reports indicated that the Turkish club Beşiktaş has entered into communications with coach Vincenzo Italiano, the former head coach of Bologna, who has been without a club since the end of the 2025/2026 season.
Italiano left Bologna by mutual consent after a two-year period during which he led the team to a historic participation in the UEFA Champions League and won the Coppa Italia in his first season, before finishing the last season in eighth place in Serie A and reaching the quarter-finals of the UEFA Europa League.
According to reports by journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Beşiktaş has already begun its communications with the Italian coach, as the club searches for a new head coach following the departure of Sergen Yalçın at the end of the season.
Beşiktaş's interest comes at a time when Italiano has been linked with several clubs within Italy, before his options gradually diminished as most clubs settled on their coaches.
