Al-Salami Finalizes the Nashama Squad for the World Cup
The head coach of the Jordan national team, Jamal Salami, announced the final squad for the 2026 World Cup, which includes 26 players in preparation for the team's first-ever participation in the World Cup.
The list was topped by star Mousa Al-Taamari, along with a group of players who contributed to achieving the historic qualification for the tournament.
The list saw the selection of three goalkeepers: Yazid Abu Layla, Nour Bani Attiyah, and Abdullah Al-Fakhouri. The defense line included Mohammad Abu Hashish, Abdullah Naseeb, Hossam Abu Dahab, Yazan Al-Arab, Mohammad Abu Al-Nadi, Salim Obeid, Saad Al-Rousan, Ihsan Haddad, and Anas Badawi.
In the midfield, there were Amer Jamous, Nour Al-Rawabdeh, Rajai Ayed, Ibrahim Saadeh, Mohannad Abu Taha, Nizar Al-Rashedan, and Mohammad Al-Daoud. The forward line included Mohammad Abu Zureik "Sharara", Ali Alwan, Mousa Al-Tamari, Awda Al-Fakhouri, Mahmoud Mardi, Ibrahim Sabra, and Ali Al-Azaizeh.
On the other hand, Al-Salami decided to exclude both Mohammed Abu Ghosh and Youssef Qashi from the final list, closing the selection file before the start of the World Cup competitions.
