Al-Ahly officials continue to consider several names for the team's coaching position, with Moroccan coach Hussein Ammouta standing out as one of the top candidates due to his impressive record of achievements at both the continental and international levels.

The Al-Ahly management believes that Amotta has a very strong resume, having successfully won the CAF Champions League with Wydad Athletic Club, as well as the CAF Confederation Cup with Fath Union Sport, in addition to numerous domestic titles in Morocco and Qatar.

The successes of the Moroccan coach were not limited to club level; he also led the Jordanian national team to a historic achievement by reaching the final of the 2023 Asian Cup for the first time in its history. Additionally, he set the team on the path towards qualifying for the 2026 World Cup, which has bolstered his reputation as one of the most prominent Arab coaches in recent years.

Amotta is distinguished by his ability to work under pressure and achieve results in major tournaments, which makes his name highly regarded within Al-Ahly, especially with his previous experience in African competitions and his understanding of the nature of Arab and African football.

Although no official announcement has been made yet, the name Hussein Amouta remains strongly considered by Al Ahly. There is a growing belief within the club that the Moroccan coach has the necessary qualities to lead the team's project in the upcoming phase.
