Riquelme: Raul will become the sporting director, and wait for the new name on Wednesday

Enrique Riquelme, the candidate for the presidency of Real Madrid, continued to make electoral promises ahead of the upcoming elections, revealing new details about his sports project should he win the presidency of the royal club.

During a media interview, Riquelme affirmed his commitment to the idea of signing the Spanish midfielder Rodri, saying: "As I told you, Rodri will come to Real Madrid if I become president."

He added, "An agreement was reached with Raúl González to become the sporting director. There is no one more suitable for this position than Raúl, no one better than the person who wore the Real Madrid jersey more times than anyone else in terms of the number of matches."

Riquelme added: "On Wednesday, I will announce a global star who is not Spanish will join Real Madrid if I win the elections (it is said to be Erling Haaland)."

Regarding the team's next coach, he concluded: "Yes, I have the coach ready and everything is settled, but my plan is to reveal big names this week, and I will announce the coach after revealing the identity of the second player who will join us."
