FIFA Fines Al Ahly Due to Ribeiro's Assistant
The FIFA Players' Status Committee has decided to fine Al Ahly Club an amount of $252,000 plus 5% interest in favor of the Spanish coach José Jiménez, the former goalkeeping coach in Ribeiro's staff.
Al Ahly must pay all dues related to Jiménez within 45 days of being notified of the penalty, otherwise, they will face sanctions due to these fines.
FIFA's statement clarified that if these dues, including interest, are not paid, the club will be penalized with a registration ban for three consecutive registration periods. Additionally, the case will be referred to the Disciplinary Committee if the dues are not settled by the end of the registration period.
José Ribeiro and his assistants had obtained a preliminary ruling against Al Ahly for $1.2 million due to their outstanding dues.
