Barcelona Accelerates Bardji's Departure Amid Wide European Interest

Monday 01-06-2026
Barcelona continues to focus on the departures file during the current transfer window, as they need to free up salary space and vacate some spots before June 30 to register new signings, according to the Spanish newspaper "Sport."

The Swedish player Roni Bardghji is among the top names expected to leave, alongside Marc Casado. The newspaper indicates that Casado is likely to depart permanently, while Barcelona leans towards letting Bardghji go on loan, although the club's priority remains selling with a buy-back option.

According to the same source, Bardji's file has advanced due to the numerous offers he has received, with strong interest from Ajax Amsterdam. The club's officials, led by sporting director Jordi Cruyff, have held talks in Barcelona about acquiring him on loan without a purchase option, ensuring he gets significant playing time.

The Swedish player also received offers from other European clubs such as Monaco, Porto, Stuttgart, and Olympique Marseille, in addition to interest from Juventus, which had previously entered the competition. Meanwhile, both Real Betis and Celta Vigo expressed interest in signing him in the Spanish league.

The Catalan club affirms that it will not give up on the player's future, as it prefers to maintain the buy-back option while giving him more playing opportunities. Meanwhile, Bardji himself prefers a temporary departure to gain more playing time.

This file is part of Barcelona's plan to conclude certain operations before finalizing new deals, including the signing of Bernardo Silva, who could play an important role in shaping the team in the upcoming phase.
