Crisis at Real Madrid Regarding Mastantuno

Real Madrid faces an issue concerning the future of Argentine player Franco Mastantuno, as it has become impossible to register him with the Castilla team for the next season, according to the Spanish newspaper 'Mundo Deportivo.'

The details of the crisis stem from the Spanish league regulations, which state that no player is allowed to continue in the reserve team if they have participated in 30% or more of the first team's matches during the season, which Mastantuno achieved during the concluded season.

Real Madrid had registered the player with the Castilla team after signing him, taking advantage of his young age to keep a spot in the first team's roster, especially since he could not make an official appearance until he turned 18 on August 14 of last year.

According to the figures reported by the newspaper, Mastantuno participated in 23 out of 38 matches in the Spanish league, totaling 1,037 minutes out of 3,420 minutes, equivalent to 30% of the total minutes of the competition.

He also participated in 8 out of 12 matches in the UEFA Champions League, totaling 293 minutes out of 1,080 minutes '27%', in addition to 143 minutes in the Copa del Rey during two matches against Talavera and Albacete, along with 11 minutes in the Spanish Super Cup.

Based on these data, Real Madrid will not be able to register the player with Castilla next season if he continues with the first team, due to exceeding the percentage specified in the competition's regulations.
