Van Bommel Approaches Coaching Al Ahly as Successor to Thorup
Global press reports have revealed negotiations between the Egyptian club Al Ahly and Mark van Bommel, the former head coach of PSV Eindhoven.
Yves Torop, the current coach of Al-Ahly, is nearing departure from his position after failing to secure most of the championships in which the Red team participated.
According to "La Gazzetta dello Sport," Al-Ahly is looking to appoint Van Bommel as the team's coach. During negotiations between the two parties, the Dutch coach requested a salary of approximately 4.5 million dollars.
Al-Ahly is expected to continue its talks until tomorrow, Tuesday, and if no agreement is reached, the club will move to negotiate with Miguel Cardoso as an alternative option.
