The head coach of the Saudi national team, Georgios Donis, granted the Green Falcons players a break from training following the friendly match against Ecuador, as part of the final phase of the preparation program for the FIFA World Cup 2026.

The decision was made to give the players a break after the significant physical effort in the match, allowing them to spend some free time in New York City.

The coaching staff also decided to resume the gathering this evening at the training camp's location, in preparation for continuing the preparatory program.

The team is preparing to leave New York on Monday evening, heading to Austin, Texas, to begin the second phase of the training camp.

This phase continues until the ninth of June as part of a comprehensive preparation plan preceding participation in the World Cup.

During this period, the Green team will play two friendly matches, the first against the Puerto Rico national team on June 5 at the Q2 Stadium in Austin.

While playing the second match against the Senegal national team on June 9 at the San Antonio Club Stadium, as part of strong technical tests.

The national team is scheduled to begin its training in Austin with a closed session at the city's club fields, as part of the ongoing preparations for the 2026 World Cup.
