Tchouameni Speaks for the First Time About His Dispute with Valverde
Real Madrid midfielder Aurélien Tchouaméni spoke about the news linking him with his teammate Federico Valverde following the altercation that occurred between them during one of the team's training sessions at the end of the season.
Tchouaméni said at a press conference while with the French national team: "I want to clarify a few things. Certainly, something did happen, but the matter has been blown out of proportion by the media."
The French international added: "I have read a lot of rumors and nonsense, such as talk of a fight or exchange of punches, which is absolutely untrue. I will not go into details about what happened."
The Real Madrid player confirmed that there is no tension between him and Valverde, saying: "Fede and I have a common goal, which is to win titles with Real Madrid. There is no problem between us."
He concluded: "If I face Valverde in the World Cup, it is natural for us to have the desire to win with my teams, France and Uruguay, but on a personal level, there are no issues between us at the moment."
