Moamen Zakaria, a player for the Egyptian national team and Al Ahly club, sent an emotional message to the Egyptian national team players through his official Instagram account after the Egyptian team's delegation traveled to the United States in preparation for participating in the World Cup.
Moamen Zakaria said via a story on the "Instagram" app: "By God, by God, by God, thank God for everything. In 2018, when we went to the World Cup, I was healthy and didn't go with the national team."
He continued: "Yes, I was upset, but not the same kind of upset as now, even though I'm tired now. I wished I could be there with you. Thank you, Captain Hani Abourida, thank you, Captain Ibrahim and Hossam Hassan, for the love from everyone."
The World Cup will be held in the United States, Canada, and Mexico from June 11 to July 19, 2026.
