Barcelona Considers Re-signing Jan Vergely

Sunday 31-05-2026
Barcelona is considering the possibility of re-signing the young player Jan Vergely, after his move to Real Mallorca last summer, following Mallorca's relegation to the second division.

According to the Spanish newspaper "Sport," the release clause in the player's contract decreased from 30 million euros to 12 million euros after Mallorca's relegation, making his situation an important market opportunity for the Catalan club.

Barcelona sold the player for 3.5 million euros, with clauses in the sale contract allowing the club to re-sign him for around 7.2 million euros, as the club continues to monitor his performance and significant development, especially since his current market value is close to 15 million euros.

Virgili, aged 19, has played more than 30 matches in the Spanish Premier League, delivering impressive performances that have attracted the interest of several clubs, including Italy's Como led by Cesc Fabregas, as well as clubs from the English Premier League and several Spanish clubs.

The player prefers to continue in the Spanish Premier League, while Barcelona is considering all available options, including a buyback or involving him in exchange deals during the transfer market.
