Monaco Monitors Marc Casado's Situation with Barcelona

Marc Casado is considering his future with Barcelona amid increasing interest in his services during the upcoming transfer window, after French club Monaco joined the list of teams interested in signing the young midfielder.

The Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo" indicated that Casado's name was brought up during the discussions held in Monaco, attended by his agent Jorge Mendes, who was in the French principality to finalize the appointment of Filipe Luís as the new coach of the team, in addition to following up on the permanent transfer of Ansu Fati to the French club.

Monaco continues to explore the possibility of signing a new player from Barcelona, after nearing the completion of a deal for Ansu Fati for 11 million euros following his loan period with the team last season.

Casado has several offers from European and Saudi clubs, but the Barcelona player has not yet made his decision. The Catalan club remains his first choice, while he evaluates the available offers before making his final decision.

The 22-year-old player was close to leaving during the last winter transfer window, but he preferred to stay until the end of the season after a conversation with coach Hans Flick. Despite this, his participation remained limited, prompting him to consider options that might offer him a larger role on the field.

Monaco stands out as one of the options available to Casado, especially with the team's participation in European competitions next season.
